My name is Gracie and I am a Golden Retriever. I usually spend my days chasing rabbits, sleeping in patches of sunshine, and chewing bones. Some days I get to go to work with my mom at Family Support Center where I have an important job of helping humans heal. My doggie heart is full of love for your species. Especially the little humans. When they pet and talk to me about difficult topics, I listen wisely and offer comfort, maybe with a lick or snuggle. My mom and her co-workers give the guidance and advice.
I want to be sure all humans, big or small, who need help can access services at Family Support Center, even if they don’t have a way to pay. That’s why I created Gracie’s Fund. People with big hearts like mine can donate to fill the fund and together we can help more humans heal. The generous AmeriCorps folks helped me get this fund started with the proceeds from their 2018 MLK Dodgeball Tournament. Aren’t they awesome?
If you’d like to join your hand with my paw, you can send your tax-deductible donations to the Family Support Center or use the link on this page. Just tell them it is for Gracie’s Fund and they’ll take care of the rest. I’ve trained them well.
Lots of Love,
